THE JAPAN COLLECTION: No Music No Life

Have you ever been to Heaven? I have.

Okay so technically speaking, I haven't but I have to been to Tower Records in Tokyo, Japan. If there is one thing that you should know about me is that my life REVOLVES around music. I can't live without it and I'm not the only one who feels that way - the slogan for tower records is 'No Music No Life'. I found my place in the world. My Heaven.

Tower Records is a seven storey music store in the centre of Tokyo. Yep you heard me right - SEVEN stories. Each floor sold something different. The first was swag and merch, the second...I don't even remember. All I remember is that there was one floor dedicated purley to vinlys. They had everything! And I mean E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. There were vinyls there of albums that I hadn't even listened to yet and that says something.

Walking around (with my jaw dropped may I add) I had no idea where to start or how I was going to afford all the records that I wanted. I honestly felt that like my whole life was on this floor. Turns out seeing your life under one roof in Tokyo causes you to feel quite faint and dizzy, so I took some pictures and got out of there before I hit the ground. Honestly, my options were leaving the store or moving to Japan. I have to admit that I'm still tempted by the latter option.

In the end, my mom gifted me a vinly of Ed Sheeran's Mathamatics Tour Collection which I am yet to listen to - I should've listened to it while I wrote this.

Anyway, that's where I got this picture of cassette tapes from. I must admit that it's one of my favourite pictures of the collection.
